How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I go started bodybuilding after my NCAA eligibility for track and field ended. I ran for five years at a Division III school, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, here I was an Academic and Athletic All-American and our teams’ captain. I always had a passion for working out and eating healthy. I graduated with a degree in Physical Education, Coaching, and Health Education, K-12.
So what is the bodybuilding training routine that you use to achieve that killer physique?
The routine I use varies. I found much success with FST-7 training. Also I have used drop sets at the end of my workouts. Usually for an entire workout consists of 20 sets for large muscle groups and 15 sets for smaller muscles.
When trying to cut down do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?
HITT cardio in the AM on an empty stomach works best for me (25-30 min). When contest time comes, after my weight workouts I do more HITT cardio (20-25 min). I believe that diet is more important than cardio for getting cut up.
What is your Diet like?
My diet consist of seven staple foods; eggs, oatmeal, chicken, tuna, brown rice, sweet potatoes, and lean beef. I eat quality protein and carbohydrate sources with every meal, once every 2.5-3 hours.
What is your supplementation like?
Currently I am using whey protein, waixy maize, BCAA’s from IDS. I also like using NO Shotgun pre-workout and Orange Triad. Z-Force by Dymatize and the IDS weight gainer before going to bed is also in supplement regime.
Plans for the future?
My plans for the future would be to place top three in my first WNBF (World Natural Bodybuilding Federation), this year, and I will be the top natural bodybuilder within the next five years. I would also like to get sponsored to help cover the costs of contest prep., travel, and show expenses. Another goal is to promote natural bodybuilding to the fullest through proper training, diet, and supplementation.
