Steve,
To my understanding the research suggests that the afternoon is the best time to weight train due to the fact that you testosterone levels tend to peak around that time, which has its obvious benefits when it comes to resistance training. If I am to train twice in one day I will always do cardio in the morning and weights in the arvo. This allows me to have about 8 hours between sessions and a full day of food to refuel my body.

On the doing cardio after weight training myth, the intensity of the cardio done was not mentioned. Some experts say this cardio should be low intensity and include sipping a carb drink once every two or three minutes. These same experts say that high intensity cardio does lead to muscle catabolism. High intensity aerobic training should be done separately from weight training by at least four hours, according these same experts. Low intensity aerobic sessions post weight lifting with the carb drink is encourage for fat loss. They say morning high intensity cardio is best and 5 PM weight traing is best on a typical day for maximal performance and results. What say you?

Nice article. If I didn't train when I was sore then I'd only hit the weights once a week, haha. And nice picture of Luke Guldan, you guys need to try to get him on here for an interview.
