Luis Filipe Peixoto Talks With Simplyshredded.com

Kyle from simplyshredded.com got the chance to ask Kaiser KalVash a few questions about his training, supplementation, diet and much more.

How did you get started with bodybuilding?

Since my childhood, I was “obsessed” with Arnold’s, Stallone’s and Van Damme’s movies.  Their “superman bodies” were the trigger that make me wanted to be a bodybuilder, to have a body like that, to be a “superman”. Before I started bodybuilding, I have practiced many other sports (football, martial arts, etc). I was almost 18 years old when I began my journey in bodybuilding. From that point on I was sure that bodybuilding was the right sport for me.

Where does your motivation come from?

I’ve always wanted to compete in bodybuilding. Last year, I competed for the first time. The feeling of being on the stage was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. Now I want to continue competing, and achieve new goals (like being in bb magazine cover). That is the source of my motivation.

So what is the bodybuilding training routine that you use to achieve that killer physique?

I’ve tried many different routines, and I don’t stick with one specific routine more than 3 months. I’m very instinctively in my workouts.  I’m addicted to super and giant-series.  I like the feeling of the muscle burning. I’ve discover that due to my genetics, these kind of training helps me to improve a lot. I’ve been training for 5 years now, and every year I learn something new that helps me to improve my workout routines.

When trying to cut down do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?

Normal cardio. When I was cutting down for my very first bb competition, my training was based in super and giant-series and cardio (mostly on bicycle).  I’ve lost 33 pounds (15 Kg) in only one month maintaining most of my muscle mass. I lose fat real fast. My biggest problem is to gain weight in the off season (when I’m bulking).

What is your Diet like?

As in my workouts, I use also my intuition in my diet. I try to stay lean even when I’m bulking. Basically I eat 7/8 times a day. Vegetables and fruit are always in the menu. Chicken breasts and tuna too. I try to consume 180g to 250g of protein every day. When cutting down I strictly follow my diet, specially the carbs.

What is your supplementation like?

Protein, BCAA’s and vitamin C are the basics in my supplement list. When cutting down I take CLA and L-Carnitine. I often take creatine and NO (2/3 months cycles). My favorite brand is Gaspari Nutrition. Superpump 250 is a must!

Plans for the future?

  • Continue improving and competing.
  • Be in a bb/fitness magazine cover in a near future (that is the objective for this year).

Favourite Bodybuilders?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Francis Benfatto and Layne Norton.

Favorite Quote?

“For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer.” (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
