How did you get started with bodybuilding?
It all started when I was 18, trying to join the military. My recruiter said I was too overweight to join. I was 238lbs, almost a 40 inch waist. I was overweight! Really overweight!! My recruiter gave me a diet plan called the ATKINS! He also pointed out that I should start exercising. Well, 9 months later I lost almost 90lbs. Continuous Atkins dieting and weightlifting was the key. I lost interest joining the forces, but had the body i had always wanted. i was weighing 155 at one point, which was very unhealthy. I was 22 at the time. Now 29, still working out and dieting with better knowledge. i weigh 185lbs at 7.8%bodyfat. I had a 3 month lay off, now back on track! My goal is to gain 10-15 LBS. of lean mass. A month ago, I was weighing 190, with no abs showing! I am glad I have the knowledge and will-power to achieve. Bodybuilding and dieting will always be a huge part of my life!
What is training routine like?
I have worked out in a gym just a few times and I did not like the Air conditioning. When it comes to training, I NEED to sweat my ass off….An I love experiencing the great temperatures of working out in my backyard. I call it “ZEN.” People are astonished cause I have developed this physique in my backyard without all this sophisticated equiptment. I strictly go old school! Barbells..Cambered bars..dumbells..Bench..A pulley I setup myself attached to a tree to where I can use the resistance to shock the muscle and split the fibers from a different approach. YOu want quality mass…I do it the natural way and like I said…OLD SCHOOL!
When trying to cut down do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?
I never do cardio…I have my own dieting ways that I have researched throughout the years to where you can drop bodyfat..while gaining lean muscle mass. A lot of people think it is impossible. It is not….I will have My official website up very soon that will detail all my dieting info and training tips, as well as, pics and videos. I will keep you posted!
What is your Diet like?
I have a sick WILL-POWER and I only concentrate on eating certain foods….The key is getting that metabolism in check..at its highest and that is achievable by getting your body into a program. I eat Skinless Chicken Breast, 100% whole wheat durham pasta, brown rice, raw oatmeal…..daily…and that is it. I always have the energy and the strength to go through my next workout even being at my current bodyfat % of 4 percent. One thing thatt is KEY is the timing of your meals…..Pre and Post workout…..eating every 3 hours and no carbs after 630PM…….My website in the future will have all the details…I will keep you posted!
What is your supplementation like?
I have been Natural since the beginning and I will stay that way. I do not believe in using anything harmful to the body. I have been working hard 10 years and the perfect physique is achievable through hardwork and dedication! Caffeine is the way to go!!
Plans for the future?
I have finally been noticed and started Fitness Modeling and now the sky is the limit! Magazines are in the works. 2010 will be my year for Bodybuilding competitions….Musclemania Houston…is in my grasp and look forward to getting on that stage! I have several shoots lined up in 2010…some with very pronounced photographers like Mark Jenkins and I am looking forward to produce surreal artwork….
